Belthangady: A complaint has now been filed with Mangaluru Cyber Crime regarding a post on a fake Facebook page called “Bhima Bi Nayak” that misused the photo of Ganesh Gowda K., a resident of Kokkad village, and made a post that was far from the truth and also dragged up the Dharmasthala issue.

On August 23, Ganesh Gowda Kalai, a resident of Kokkada, a businessman and social activist, filed a complaint with the police. The police, who received the complaint, have promised to investigate and identify the accused, said the complainant Ganesh Gowda Kalai.

Since 2023, similar photos have been used, edited and denigrated on social media, and this has continued continuously. Although I have complained about this in the past, such incidents are happening repeatedly.

The perpetrators of this act should be arrested immediately. Work is underway to frame me against some organizations. Since I had filed a complaint earlier too, the involvement of an accused from Beltangadi and Kokkada is clearly visible in this. The police should immediately arrest the accused," Ganesh Gowda Kalai has urged SP.

The accused who deleted the post

The SP responded to the request and a c
omplaint was registered at Sen Police Station through the SP. The man, who hails from Kokkada in Belthangady taluk, had committed a similar act 3 times in the past. A complaint was registered at Urva Sen Police Station in Mangaluru. Finally, he gave a confession to the police and escaped. Now this man has started his act again and now, after the complaint was filed and the news was circulated in the media, the post has been deleted due to fear of police action.
