Belthangady: A case has been registered at Belthangady police station against 20 people including Saujanya activists Anil Antara, Prasanna Ravi and others for illegally gathering on the road to Mini Vidhana Soudha and in front of Mini Vidhana Soudha, Belthangady, ignoring the police instructions without permission and causing trouble to the public.
On October 27, the civility activists had announced a program to petition the government through the Tahsildar, alleging that the police were filing a false case against civility activists including Mahesh Shetty Timarodi. The police department had denied permission for the program. The police stopped those who came to file the petition, which caused some confusion. The police have now registered a case in connection with this incident. A case has been registered against Rashtriya Hindu Jagran Vedike President Anil Kumar Antara, Pujwal Gowda, Pradeep Kulal, Srinivas Gowda, Ravindra Shetty, Prasanna Ravi, Udaya Prasad, Kusumavathi, Venkappa Kotian, Tanush Shetty, Mohan Shetty, Jayaram Gowda, Santosh Shetty, Pramod Shetty, Yogish Kulal, Naravi Vijaya, Ravindra Shetty Mudipu, Sashikala Shetty, Poojashree Dharmasthala, Tikki Ravi, and others under B.N.S. 189(2), 190, 285, 57 Karnataka Police Act 1963 31(0) 103(ii).
