Shivamogga: Three people died in a horrific road accident near Gondhi Chatnahalli village on the outskirts of the city on Thursday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Asadullah (50) of Davashagere Channagiri, Sadiq (30) and Firoz (22) of Uttar Pradesh. It is learnt that the driver has sustained minor injuries.
It is learnt that the Ashok Leyland Goods vehicle, which was heading towards Honnali from Shivamogga, lost control and hit a tree on the roadside, killing three of the four occupants of the vehicle on the spot.
It is learnt that the Shivamogga Rural Police visited the scene and conducted an investigation.
A case has been registered in this regard at the Shivamogga Rural Police Station.
