Puttur: The police have received a crucial clue in connection with the theft case at the shop of Vasant Gowda, a businessman who trades in forest products and areca nut, located in a commercial complex near Gandhi Park, and the investigation is in full swing.
When the police officers examined the CCTV footage of the surroundings, they got a key clue and a suspicious old motorcycle captured in the CCTV footage is now the focus of the investigation.
Police sources said that the bike found in this case is similar to the bike involved in the theft reported near Belthangady last month, and the officers suspect that the same group may be behind both the incidents. The investigation is ongoing.
