A guest teacher of a government school was fatally attacked, stripped naked and tied to a tree. In this incident that took place under the jurisdiction of Jayapura police station in Koppa taluk, a guest teacher of a government school (25 years old) was fatally attacked by miscreants while she was returning home after finishing school. She was also accused of being stripped naked.

Hearing the teacher’s screams, family members and locals rushed to the spot and rescued her. The seriously injured teacher was first admitted to Koppa Hospital. Later, she was shifted to Meggan Hospital in Shivamogga for further treatment.


Locals expressed anger over the incident and filed a complaint at Jayapura police station. They demanded that the accused be arrested and strict action be taken.

Chikkamagaluru police form three teams for investigation

The Chikkamagaluru SP said that three special teams have been formed under the leadership of the Koppa DySP to investigate the incident in which a teacher was attacked, stripped naked and tied to a tree. The police visited the spot and inspected it.

The young man, a close relative of the teacher, is said to have committed the act. It is said that Bhavit alias Ramesh (30) committed the act after refusing love. Bhavit, who was in constant contact with the teacher, committed the crime out of anger after Preeti refused. Bhavit has been arrested by the Jayapura police in Chanduvalli village near Balur.
