Mangaluru: The Kavoor police have arrested two accused who were duping people by promising them jobs abroad and have been produced before the court.
The arrested accused have been identified as Prakriti U (34) of Anekal taluk, Bengaluru and Alton Rebero (42) of Kundapur, Udupi taluk.
The accused had cheated many people under the Kavoor police station area by promising them jobs and visas abroad and had taken about Rs 1 crore in cash and not given them the visas and jobs.
24 passports, 43 grams of gold and 2 mobile phones have been seized from the accused. The police said that the accused had kept these items illegally.
