Bengaluru, October 28: A few days ago, a gruesome incident took place in Kannika Barangay under Kumbalagod police station limits of the city, where a stepfather strangled his 7-year-old daughter to death. The accused Darshan tortured and murdered his daughter Siri and then fled from the scene. Now the accused has been caught by the police and the investigation is continuing.
Stepfather strangled 7-year-old girl to death
The mother, who had gone to work on Friday evening, had not yet returned home. Thus, the girl who came home from school did not go home and stood near an acquaintance's shop. At that time, Darshan, who was at home, had come looking for the girl. When Siri, who was at the shop, was called home, she insisted that she would not come home. She had told everyone in front of her that he would beat her. However, Darshan forcibly brought the girl home.
After coming home, he beat her up with his own hands in anger. He pushed the girl to the ground and strangled her to death. At this time, there was blood in the girl's nose and mouth. He washed all the blood stains to destroy the evidence. Later, Darshan told the girl's mother, Shilpa, who came home, that the child was not talking. She screamed when she saw her child's condition. Meanwhile, Darshan, who had locked Shilpa in the room and fled on a bike, has now been caught by the Kumbagod police.
Husband harasses girl for interfering with wife's private time
After the death of her first husband, Siri's mother Shilpa got married for the second time to Darshan. Papi, who used to take care of the child with love while Shilpa's mother was at home, started behaving differently after Shilpa's mother died. Darshan, who harassed the girl for interfering with her husband's private time, would beat the child as he pleased. Due to this, Siri would get scared whenever she saw her stepfather. Darshan, who killed her out of anger, is now in police custody.
