Uppinangady: An incident occurred at Gundije Traders in Uppinangady where thieves broke into a shop in broad daylight and robbed it of Rs. 5 lakh.
Thieves broke into the shop when no one was there and stole Rs 5 lakh from a drawer. The shop owner left the shutters open in the afternoon and went to the toilet. It was revealed that the theft was committed by breaking the locked drawer on the way back.
There is a CCTV camera inside this shop, but it seems that it has not been recharged. It is said that the switch of the CCTV camera outside was also cut. More than ten rooms have been rented in this same commercial complex. But none of them have installed a CCTV camera. The thieves have shown their cunning even after realizing all this. A case has been registered in this regard and the police have taken up the investigation.
