Puttur: An intoxicated man was electrocuted and injured when he tried to climb on a transformer near the city's Aruna Sabha Bhavan.
Locals who noticed the incident immediately called 108 ambulance and took up rescue work. The injured person was immediately admitted to the Puttur government hospital and is being treated.
Officials have warned the public that going near electrical equipment and climbing on transformers is very dangerous.
