Bengaluru, October 31: The unnatural death of a woman reported last Saturday in Uttarahalli under Subramanyapura police station limits in Bengaluru has now taken an explosive turn. It has been revealed that the deceased woman was murdered by the minor daughter of Netravathi (34), her lover and his friends. The Subramanyapura police have revealed that a total of five minors, including Netravathi's daughter, her lover and his three friends, were involved in the murder.
Netravathi's daughter had been in love with a young man for some time. Last Saturday night, she had come home with her boyfriend and three of his friends. They had come home at night without Netravati knowing that she was sleeping. Seeing this, Netravati got angry and scolded her. The fight escalated, and the angry daughter and her friends covered Netravati's mouth and strangled her with a towel and killed her.
The next day, Netravati's older sister called her sister and daughter, but they did not answer. She became suspicious and went to the house on Monday. When she looked through the window of the house, Netravati was found hanging. Later, the Subramanyapura police came to the spot and registered an unnatural death (UDR) case. After that, Netravati's daughter did not come for the cremation. Due to this, Netravati's grandmother filed a missing complaint on Wednesday. The suspicious police checked the details of Netravati's daughter. During this, her boyfriend was taken into custody and questioned. During the interrogation, the murder of a gang of minors was revealed.
Attempt to make it look like suicide
After the murder, the accused tied a sari around Netravathi's neck, hung her from a fan, locked the house and fled the scene. The next day, after Netravathi's body was found, the police initially registered a case of unnatural death. The family became suspicious as Netravathi's daughter did not attend the funeral. Later, Netravathi's elder sister filed a complaint about the disappearance of her daughter.
The murder accused who came to grandma's house and fabricated the story is 'daughter'!
After the incident, the accused (Netravathi's daughter) who came to grandma's house said, 'My friends came to our house when mom and I were at home. Mom had threatened me that she would tell the police about my friends coming home. In the meantime, they tied a towel around mom's neck and suffocated her. Then they dragged mom to the room and hung her from the fan with her saree. They showed me a knife and threatened me not to tell anyone about this matter. Then I went to my friend's house. Now I have come home after learning that my mother has died,' she said.
But her grandmother became suspicious of her. She informed the police. When the police questioned her and her boyfriend, the crime was revealed.
