A young woman who was in a live-in relationship was strangled to death by her lover in the Malleshwaram area of Bengaluru city.
The deceased woman has been identified as 20-year-old Anusha, and the accused, 25-year-old Sharath, has been arrested by the police. Both are from Sakleshpur in Hassan district. Sharath works as a water tanker driver, and not much information is known about the deceased Anusha.
Sharath and Anusha first met through Instagram. Later, the two are in a live-in relationship. It is said that they were living together in a rented house in Malleshwaram for the last 6 months. Last Saturday, there was a fight between the two over a personal matter. Later, Sharath is said to have strangled Anusha and killed her. Later, Sharath informed a lawyer about the murder on Monday and escaped.
Later, after receiving information about the incident, the police visited the spot and inspected it, took the accused into custody and interrogated him. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, and the police, who have registered a case, are continuing their investigation into the exact cause of the murder.
